Growing Together Ghana

Overseas Volunteering
Growing Together Ghana is a developing collaborative project bringing together Ghanaian and UK organisations, educators, and practitioners to empower children and young people through shared learning, skills exchange, and community-led initiatives.

Working primarily in the rural Eastern Region of Ghana, the project focuses on education, practical skills training, and wellbeing support in partnership with local schools, community groups, and organisations. Activities include food cultivation, STEM and IT workshops, life skills development, creative entrepreneurial skills, and wellbeing education and awareness; all shaped by local knowledge, priorities, and strengths.

Growing Together Ghana also facilitates meaningful volunteer placements with a range of projects, schools, and NGOs; staying with wonderful host families. Volunteers are invited to contribute their skills while learning from Ghanaian communities, creating a two-way exchange that values collaboration, respect, and long-term impact.

Alongside project work, additional cultural experiences and guided tours can be arranged on request, offering opportunities to explore the richness, beauty, and traditions of Ghana while taking part in purposeful, community-based work.

If you are interested in collaborating, volunteering, or supporting skills-based and educational initiatives; while experiencing Ghana’s warm, welcoming culture and natural beauty, please feel free get in touch to discuss further.
